Kristen Hartley

Kristen joins the 2017 World Rowing Championships as a recent graduate of an international sports administration and technology Master’s program in Lausanne, Switzerland at the Académie Internationale des Sciences et Techniques du Sport (AISTS) or International Academy of Sports Science and Technology in English. Combined with a Bachelor’s of Recreation and Leisure Management from the University of Florida and over 10 year’s international event, marketing and customer relationship management experience across numerous industries, Kristen is a qualified professional who has a passion for sports and culture with a strong strategic business acumen.

Highlights in her career include stops at the 2002 Winter Olympic Games in Salt Lake City as a Venue Logistics Manager, as well as various posts with The United States Olympic Committee Team Processing for the 2014 Winter Olympic Games in Sochi, SportAccord Convention (2015 & 2016) and International Federations Forum 2015 as a Digital & Social Media Consultant. She also spent several years in Marketing & Events for Octagon Marketing, ABBYY Europe GmbH and Allianz.

She grew up in St. Augustine, Florida, but thanks to her many years living overseas in Australia and Europe, she considers herself a global citizen who speaks both German and French.
